Issues vary – but everyone seeks fulfillment in life.
People seek individual therapy for many reasons.
Mostly they are unhappy about something in their life or themselves.
Sometimes it’s depression or anxiety. Individuals might not use those words.
They are more likely to say, “I’ve just broken up with my partner,” “I can’t stand my job,” or “I just don’t know what to do anymore.”
When is the time to seek individual therapy?
When what’s bothering you is filling you up inside to where nothing else seems to matter, it is time to seek therapy.
If you are ready to make changes, whatever it takes, therapy can help.
You want the pain to stop, need to establish boundaries, learn to cope with everyday things, or explore new opportunities. Individual therapy provides the space for change to happen.
Individual Therapy benefits everyone.
People who go into therapy are strong. What did I say? – Strong.
How could that be true? It’s true because it takes a lot of strength and courage to let a stranger (like me) into your head and your life.
Give yourself credit for taking the step of doing the research and looking for a therapist – one who can meet your needs.
Do your homework and select the right therapist.
Choose a therapy partner who matches what you need and understands what you are thinking.
As a therapist, my job is to travel through the process of therapy with you.
I am with you every step of the way.
This travel involves pain and confusion but leads to transformation, peace, and strength.
Meet Sally, one of my former clients.
Sally sought individual therapy as a last resort. She was the classic perfect person on the outside but shattered on the inside. With an executive-level job, she made a good salary, had a beautiful home and friends. But no one knew her pain or about her thoughts that life was not worth living.
And at the beginning of therapy, she questioned whether she could ever feel at peace because she never had. Ever. But the human spirit naturally longs for feeling better, and her soul believed she could somehow get to a better state.
At times, the work she did with me was painful, as she went through the losses that she never processed. And for Sally, there were many losses, including her parents, childhood abuse, a divorce, and more.
As a result of therapy, Sally now says that today’s life is better than she could ever imagine. Currently, she is looking forward to her future rather than dreading every day.
Sally now loves herself in a far better way than she ever thought possible.
She found her best self.
