You can be functioning well—and still feel stuck.
From the outside, your life may look solid. You’re responsible, capable, and used to handling things.
People rely on you.
But inside, something isn’t shifting.
You may understand yourself. You’ve thought about what’s not working. And yet—you find yourself in
the same patterns.
1 Overthinking but not changing
2 Pushing through but not feeling better
3 Staying productive while feeling increasingly disconnected
Over time, that kind of internal pressure builds.
What’s often missing is not effort—but access to what’s underneath it.
In my work, we go beneath the surface of symptoms like anxiety, stress, or depression to understand
the emotional patterns driving them.
Because insight—real insight—doesn’t just help you understand yourself. It creates the possibility for
change.
I provide psychotherapy for professionals and high-functioning adults in Englewood and throughout the
Denver metro area, both in person and through secure online therapy across Colorado.
You might recognize yourself here
1 You handle a great deal—and rarely stop to ask what it’s costing you
2 You feel responsible for everything, and it’s exhausting
3 You can’t fully relax, even when nothing is urgent
4 You’ve achieved a lot, but don’t feel the way you expected to feel
5 You find yourself repeating patterns in relationships you don’t fully understand
6 You think things through—but that hasn’t led to real change
You don’t have to be in crisis for this to matter.
Many of the people I work with come in for anxiety, stress, or depression—but discover something
deeper driving it.
What brings them in is the realization that understanding something intellectually isn’t the same as
changing it.
How I Work
Many people who come to me have already tried to “figure themselves out.”
They’ve read, reflected, and thought deeply about what isn’t working. But insight on its own hasn’t led
to change.
That’s where our work begins.
In therapy, we don’t stay on the surface. We look closely at the emotional patterns that repeat—often
outside of awareness—and how they continue to shape your reactions, your relationships, and your
sense of yourself.
This is not a skills-based approach focused only on coping or symptom relief.
It’s a deeper process of understanding how you came to be the way you are—and how those patterns
can shift.
Over time, this work leads to something more lasting:
Insight • Movement • Transformation
Insight into what is actually driving your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors
Movement out of patterns that no longer serve you
Transformation in how you experience yourself and your relationships
With more than four decades of clinical experience, I bring a steady, direct, and engaged presence to
this work. Therapy is collaborative—but it is also active. When something matters, we will stay with it.
What to Expect in the First Session
Starting therapy can feel uncertain.
The first session is a conversation. We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what feels stuck or
unresolved, and what you would like to see change.
We’ll look at your current life—work, relationships, and sources of stress—as well as relevant history
that helps make sense of what you’re experiencing now.
You’ll also get a sense of how I work, and whether this feels like a place where you can do meaningful
work.
From there, we begin to clarify direction. The process is structured, but not formulaic. It’s shaped
around you.
Is This Work Right for You?
1 Do you feel responsible for everything—and quietly exhausted?
2 Do you find yourself thinking about the same issues without resolution?
3 Has anxiety, pressure, or perfectionism become so familiar it feels normal?
4 Do you struggle to feel settled, even when things are going well?
5 Has your success come with a cost to your personal life?
You can be capable and still feel overwhelmed. You can understand yourself and still feel stuck.
If something in you recognizes that, it’s worth paying attention.
